fig up!! PATTERN ON PATTERN

Ha!ha! Males and Females are extremely careful when it comes to  'Pattern on pattern' or 'print on print' dressing. During my undergraduate days at Babcock University,
most students referred to 'pattern on pattern' dressing as "outrageous", "horrific" and "offensive". The most annoying thing back then was that, once a student put on 'pattern on pattern',he or she will be mocked  whisperingly by other students or a photo of the individual will be taken unknown to him or her and maybe posted on the notice board.  The only reason why a student can wear 'pattern on pattern' is if it were on a colour-riot day and most BU students make full use of that day, wearing the 'pattern on pattern' that cannot be worn on a normal day in BU *lol* .The term 'pattern on pattern' was really the talk of the school then. I must confess i didn't want to be mocked at, so i just dressed in my plain on plain, pattern on plain or plain on pattern. Although i knew 'pattern on pattern' could be worn in a stylish way but i didn't want bring up any argument whenever i discussed with my roommates or friends. Fortunately for me, a fashion stylist was invited on a particular day during my departmental week to talk on dressing styles and so on. And a question was raised on the issue of 'pattern on pattern'. The stylist mentioned a statement which i will never forget. She said: "There is nothing wrong in wearing pattern on pattern, especially if you know how to combine it well", Immediately I caught that. Although most students who listened to her did not really believe her and arguments were raised up concerning the ish. But i held on to what she said And i began to take action by wearing 'pattern on pattern' dresses. Sorry I'm not really a fan of taking pictures, would have loved to post some pics of me on 'pattern on pattern'. But I will do that soonest. I can remember another event, a friend of mine asked me to sketch a design for him, cos he had some dresses to sew. I sketched the design and the issue of 'pattern on pattern' came up. I told him that wearing 'pattern on pattern' wasn't a fashion crime. He replied by saying that "People will look at him in a strange way if he wears pattern on pattern". Friends, all you need is to be unique, different and creative. Forget about what people will say, style has to do with creativity!  'PATTERN ON PATTERN' is TRENDY and FABULOUS!
