Choosing Earrings Based on Your Face Shape

The easiest way to choose your perfect style is to look at your face shape. You should try and choose earrings that are opposite to the features of your face.

ROUND FACES
Round faces are exactly as they sound: the widest point is across the cheekbones, narrowing some at the forehead and jaw line. Women with round shaped faces look best in long angular styles. Dangle and teardrop styles are also great choices which help to elongate the face. Earrings with a thin or medium width  are not only dramatic but also elegant and feminine. Easiest way to choose your perfect style is to look at your face shape. You should try and choose earrings that are opposite to the features of your face.

OVAL SHAPED FACE
Oval faces features foreheads that are as wide as cheekbones. The face narrows from the cheeks to the chin creating oval shape. Women with oval shaped face can wear almost every style of earring. I think one of the striking looks for those with an oval shaped face are oval shaped dangle earrings. These draws attention to the elongated face shape without adding any length or width.

HEART SHAPED FACE
Heart shaped faces feature a forehead that is wider than the cheeks. The cheeks further tapper down the chin. Earrings with elongated lines and curves like chandelier  earrings will be most flattering to heart shaped faces. The elongated lines and curves of these help to balance out the face and draw attention to the eyes cheekbones and jaw line.

 SQUARE FACE
Square shaped faces do not narrow much from the cheekbone to the forehead, nor from the cheekbone to the jaw line. Elongated, dangling and hoop earrings are most flattering for square shaped faces. Earrings with rounded designs will soften the cheekbones and the jaw line. Oversized hoop earrings that brush or extend below the jaw line are my favourite look for this shape.

NARROW FACE
Narrow (or rectangular shaped) faces have the same general shape as the square face but are more elongated. Long dangle earrings tend to minimize the length of very narrow faces. I recommend dangle earrings with elongated curves or  pearl  earrings that will accentuate the cheekbones and add softness.

 ONE FACE FITS ALL (STUDS)
These classic earrings are composed of a single stone, ball, or small design that sits directly on the earlobe. They feature traditional earring posts. Pearl earrings that sit next to the ear may be described as stud earrings. These styles look good on every face type.

Earrings should be fun and make a statement about who you are. Why not experiment a bit and see what earring designs work best for you? Earrings can be a fun and flattering way to enhance your wardrobe as well as your appearance.

How to wear bright eyeshadows

12 celebrities who rock every colour of the rainbow
Colour: Red. Use a red eyeshadow to accent black graphic-styled lined eyes like Rihanna for a rockstar-chic look.
Colour: Red. Channel your inner punk and work a red shade all around your eyes like Kristen Stewart at the 2013 Met Gala to match a rebellious personality
Colour: Orange. Stray from the traditional black and grey smoke eye and instead opt for an orange/bronze look like Scarlett Johansson at the 83rd Annual Academy Awards
Colour: Yellow/Gold. Yellow eyeliner is definitely not so easy to master, but Elle Fanning pulls it off by keeping the shade as opaque as possible, so it looks chic rather than sickly
Colour: Yellow/Gold. If full-on gold eyeshadow is not your thing, add flecks of gold in the inner and outer corners of your eye like Emma Watson for an interesting look.
Colour: Green. Follow in Solange's footsteps and team bright teal eyeliner with a statement top for the ultimate cool-girl look
Colour: Green. If you have green eyes like Emma Stone, bright seafoam shadow is the perfect way to make your eyes pop
Colour: Green. Looking to be on trend in the beauty department this summer? Working pastel green eyeshadow like Miley Cyrus will surely do the trick
Colour: Blue. No one says you need to stick to one colour when it comes to eyeliners. Channel Bella Thorne's ombre look where she played with highlights in her inner eye and then finished off with a dark flick at the end for an overall eye-brightening look.
Colour: Blue/Yellow. Go for a bright duo to up the ante on the statement eyeshadow game like January Jones at the Season 7 premiere of Mad Men
Colour: Blue/Purple. When it comes to bold coloured makeup, LupitaNyong'o is your go-to girl for inspiration
Colour: Purple. Play with the Pantone's colour of the year like Sarah Hyland to prove you're on top of your beauty trend game.

HAPPY SUNDAY!
